Blogmas Day 3 – Manchester Christmas Markets!

img_9371

Most people who live in and near Manchester look forward to this time of the year solely for the festive Christmas markets in the town center! There are various festive market stalls from Christmas gift ideas to tasty festive treats if you have not yet visited these spectacular stalls then you definitely need to and for anyone visiting Manchester during this time of the year the markets are definitely not to be missed. They just add to the atmosphere and in a strange way despite how packed the markets can be they are never not enjoyable. No matter how many times I visit them I get just as excited as I did the first time and run around like an excited little elf! I have captured some pictures of the markets on a day out into the town center so that anyone who won’t have the chance to visit them this year can still see how lovely they look and get that rush of Christmas excitement in their veins!

For those who haven’t visited the Manchester Christmas Markets yet I suggest you do it is so festive and you can also pick up great Christmas gifts at such good prices!

Check out yesterdays’ blogmas post here and stay tuned for Day 4 of Blogmas coming tomorrow!

*Blogmas Day 14 – The Press Tent Review Box!!

IMG_3674

Hey guys! So If you read yesterdays’ post then you’ll know that I attended the amazing Pres Tent Blogger Bazaar at the end of November! After the event I was lucky enough to receive this bloggers review box full of products from various companies that I would like to share with you in this post. First of all you guys know how much I love good packaging and the word good would be an understatement to describe this packaging! The paper bow on the front of the box is so cute! And I love how sturdy the box is, I could reuse it as storage once I’ve used the products!

IMG_3684

First of all is this Honey and Propolis Cream Cleanser from Bee Good…

Next is the Proper Corn Smooth Peanut & Almond, in my honest opinion these are not for me, purely because I’m not too keen on peanut flavoured things or almonds however I am certain if you are a lover of those flavours you will definitely enjoy this bag of flavoured popcorn as they are quite flavoursome at an alternative to your regular toffee, salt or sweet popcorn!

And I received a cute bag of sweets from Type The Hype, a platform for bloggers, so thank you to you guys for that cute gift! You can never be too old to get excited over a bag of sweets!

IMG_3693

Next is the Peanut Hottie Peanut Butter Flavoured Hot Drink, as I said previously I am not a lover of peanut butter flavoured things however I quite like this! It smelt rather nice too! It’s not something I would drink regularly but it is definitely a nice hot drink I would have every so often!

I also received a Christmas Mess chocolate tray from the lovely people at Hotel Chocolate. These tasted delicious! They would make a perfect Christmas gift or stocking filler, very festive and you guys know how much I love festivity! A great treat for any chocoholic!

I absolutely love a So…? spray! I have previously used their perfumes and body sprays so I was very happy to see a familiar brand in the review box! I received their So…? Wild Perfumed Body Spray it smells amazing and I definitely love it! I should be working with So…? quite soon so look out for that! Such a lovely brand!

I was so amazed by the Halo Deodorant Wipes, I never knew deodorant wipes were a thing until I received these and then found similar products online. They are so compatible and perfect to just chuck into your handbag when your on the go rather than needing to get a bottle of deodorant spray out. It is also great for people like me that may feel awkward spraying deodorant in public toilets because of the noise they make, instead you can just use these wipes!

Although I don’t have nails this Get Polish Nailed london in the gorgeous shade Rosie fortescue is such a lovely shade! I would love to paint this on my nails if I grew them or put some falsies on!

The Cherry Blossom Lypsyl Lip Blam has become a handbag essential ever since I got this! It is perfect for this time of the year when chapped lips are more common, it smells amazing although it doesn’t taste too great haha! But it is a very good lip balm!

I couldn’t use the Nerd Wax as I do not wear glasses however my sister does! Nerd wax has similar package to a chap stick, it is super compact and easy to pop in and out of your bag. It is used to prevent your glasses from slipping off, you just apply a little bit to the part of your glasses that sits on your nose and voila! My sister used it and is now keeping it as her glasses did not budge and she loved it! So if you have problems with your glasses constantly slipping down then you must definitely get some of this! It could also make a good stocking filler for someone who wears glasses!

All in all I loved everything in this review box! Thank you to all the lovely brand who gifted their products in the box!

I’ll post again tomorrow lovelies! I’m half way through blogmas already woohoo!!

Trying American Candy!!

IMG_4722

Hey guys!! Okay so I don’t know why but I haven’t been uploading as often as I usually do recently, I have had this post drafted for a long time i think i’m just lacking motivation but I have started college now so I think once I get back into the swing of things my blog posts will become more regular!

So anyway more about this post! A few weeks ago I took a trip to the Trafford Centre!! I went to an American candy store and picked up a few pieces to try and tell you guys about!!

First of all was the Warheads Sour Dippin’ Pucker Pack. I didn’t hate this but I didn’t love it and I definitely wouldn’t repurchase it. There was a variety of flavoured sherbet dips, sour green apple, sour orange, sour grape and sour cherry. The only flavours I really liked were sour cherry and sour orange. It has two dipping sticks that are also flavoured, watermelon which I really disliked and raspberry which I loved! I wouldn’t buy this again but it’s great for people that love sour sweets but something that isn’t too sour!

Next is the Sour Patch Kids Extreme! I loved these! They’re jelly like sweets, not super sour but super tasty! I don’t really have much else to say about these apart from they are yummy, great to snack on and I would definitely buy them again!

Milk Duds are just like eclairs! A chewy, toffee centre coated in chocolate! I really liked these but I’m not sure I would re-purchase them, only because I’m not an eclairs kinda girl!

And saving the best till last is the delicious Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream Chocolate! I could live of this chocolate it is so yummy! Not too chocolaty and is now up there with my fave chocolates! I would definitely re-purchase this and more than once!

Let me know in the comments what your favourite american candy is and if you’ve tried any of these!

Thanks for reading!

Tanya Burr Cookies!!

cookiess

Hey guys!! so about 5/6 years ago I had a HUGE passion for baking! I would come home from school wanting to bake! My baking passion disappeared about 2 years ago, I’m not sure why, I guess I just kinda grew out of it. I must admit though, I made some very complexed cake, I sold one in a charity auction for £50!! but anyway enough about my baking past, I do still like to go back to baking sometimes, I find it quite therapeutic and it calms me a lot. Recently I have seen Tanya Burr’s cookie recipe a lot around YouTube and they look delicious so I decided to make them! They turned out amazing! They tasted sooo good! and after the following day I heated on up in the microwave, added some vanilla ice cream on top and it became an exact replica of pizza hut’s cookie dough! These cookies are heavenly and moreish! Below is the recipe and method for the cookies in case you guys would like to try them out and I definitely recommend you do!

*I do not own this recipe, it is from Tanya Burr’s blog.

To make 10 (rather large) cookies you will need:

200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
a little dash of milk
a large bar of milk chocolate (Cadburys is my fave)
a large bar of white chocolate

a large bar of dark chocolate (this is totally optional – only add if you are a dark choice fan)

Method:

Pop your oven on to 200 degrees Celsius
Cream together your butter and sugar
Crack in your egg
Stir in all the dry ingredients
Add a dash of milk if your mixture is looking dry
Break up all of your chocolate and throw it in, using your hands to get it into the dough
Line 2 trays with baking paper (the cookies will spread in the oven so don’t place them close together)
Pick up a 10 small handfuls of cookie dough and place them onto your trays
Pop them into the oven for 11 minutes – I have found this to be the perfect baking time. When you get them out they will not look cooked, it is vital you know this, as it will be very tempting to leave them in for longer and then they’ll be hard and overcooked once they are cool. Just take your cookies out after 11 minutes and leave them to cool for about 30 minutes.
Now enjoy a deliciously warm, melt in your mouth cookie with a nice cup of tea!

Share with friends and family (optional)

I want to start doing more baking related blog posts for you guys so keep your eye out for them!
